Optoma PRO360W, WXGA, 3000 ANSI Lumens, 3D-Multimedia Projector Review

  • Absolutely the best projector for $500 or less. I have owned an Epson Powerlite 77C for 6 years. When I bought it, it was $649 and it was the best you could get for a fantastic all around projector. When HD was getting more popular and HDMI was popping up everywhere, my projector started to look old. I had to make so many conversions as far as converting from composite video, to s-video, to RGB-VGA so by the time I was able to make the Epson produce 1080i, I had literally 60 feet of cable wrapped up behind my entertainment rack to handle all the devices (Blue Ray, Wii, Cable Box and Xbox. Is was absolutely nuts. In the 6 years using it, I also replaced the lamp 3 times at $150 a pop. By the 3rd lamp, I was in over $1000! I have been looking to upgrade for sometime, and it has been quite an aggravating ordeal. When buying a typical TV, its easy. You got to the stores, look at the pictures, see the sizes, etc. Shopping for a projector, yeah, not easy. No every place you live near has retailers who sell them. If you find them, there are only high end units that are big and cost a fortune. I hate to buy things that I cant see for myself.Native WXGA DLP by Texas Instruments with Brilliant Color Technology
